How it all began…

Bride’s Story

I'll never forget July 2022, when an ordinary Saturday turned extraordinary. My friend Olamide was launching his photobook, 'Naive,' at a gallery near Dame Street in Dublin. I traveled from Carlow to support him, unaware I'd meet someone special.

During the event, Olamide asked me to guide someone named Godstime who was lost. Standing outside near AIB, I called him, and he described himself humorously as "really tall" wearing a blue jacket. Soon enough, I saw him crossing the street—definitely tall and smiling warmly.

Our first conversation amusingly focused on our heights. I asked him how tall he was, and he replied he was 6'11". Surprised, I joked, "It goes up to 11? I thought it ended at 10!" We laughed easily. After the event, we parted ways casually, but two days later, Godstime sent me a message.

That simple encounter quickly became the beginning of our forever.

Groom’s Story

I'm normally not one to grace the outdoors, but a photo book launch by our mutual friend, Olamide, near Dublin Castle tempted me out. I quickly found myself lost on Dame Street, so Olamide sent his friend Vanessa to come rescue me. "You can't miss me; I'm quite tall," I said. She replied, "Cool, me too," instantly piquing my interest.

Meeting Vanessa was effortless and intriguing. She casually mentioned looking for peace, and I humorously agreed. After all, who doesn't like peace? Our conversation was short that day, and she left before I could ask for her number, but luckily she had called earlier, leaving her number in my phone.

After prayerful reflection, I felt clear guidance to reach out. Our conversations quickly deepened. Vanessa shared that her love life was "in shambles," jokingly saying it would take a miracle, finding true love and getting married by 2024 to keep her in the country. Seizing the moment, I playfully asked her out.

Our first date, dinner and the thriller-comedy film "Nope," turned into hours of easy conversation. From that night onward, our connection only grew stronger, effortlessly and beautifully turning into the miracle we both needed. Vanessa became my peace, my best friend, and soon, my wife.
